Visa support
B21 are based in the UK. For performances outside the UK and EU, you
(the promoter or host) will normally need to support the band on visa
or work-permit applications for your country. Lead times are real,
typically six to twelve weeks, sometimes longer. The earlier you
start, the better. If you have not booked an international act
before, please let us know and we will share what we usually need
from local hosts.
Quick orientation for hosts new to this:
The visa category you need is usually labelled something like “performer”, “entertainer”, or “temporary work / specialised activity”. Common examples by jurisdiction (verify with your own authorities, this is not legal advice):
| USA | P-1B Entertainer, filed by a US sponsor with USCIS |
| Canada | Work Permit under the International Mobility Program |
| Australia | Subclass 408 Entertainment activities |
| New Zealand | Specific Purpose Work Visa for entertainers |
| UAE | Performance permit via the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge, plus an entry visa |
| India | M Business Visa or P Visa for performing artists |
| Singapore | Miscellaneous Work Pass or Work Pass for entertainers |
In every case, the local promoter or host typically provides: a signed letter of invitation, a copy of the engagement contract or booking confirmation, the full event itinerary, evidence of the band’s credentials and history, proof of return travel and accommodation, and sometimes an undertaking on local taxes.
We strongly recommend engaging an entertainment immigration specialist in your country before confirming the booking. Tell us where you are in that conversation when you submit.
